This species, originally described from the Philippines, was recorded in Australia and Papua New Guinea by Bellis et al. (2013).

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Male light buff, pygophor and styles fuscous brown. Tegmina light buff, opaque with a thin waxy secretion, veins concolorous with membrane, granules minute and concolorous with veins; wings hyaline, veins yellowish. Length 2 mm; tegmen 2.6 mm. Female brachypterous, uniformly light buff, length 2.6 mm; tegmen 1.3 mm. (Muir 1917).

Muir (1917) also figured the male genitalia.
