Introduction
Faubel (1984) listed Acanthozoon albopunctatus (as A. albopunctatum) as a species incertae sedis, suggesting that the original description was unsatisfactory, however, he acknowledged that the species was definitely best included within the Pseudocerotidae because of the presence of large acute papillae.
