Type data:
Holotype QM G210668 (tidal pool, 1.iii.1991, wholemount), Hastings Point, northern New South Wales, Australia [28°22'S 153°35'E].
Paratype(s) QM G210686-688, 698 (tidal pools, sections), Hastings Point, northern New South Wales, Australia [28°22'S 153°35'E].
Introduction
Specimens of P. baibaiye resemble fallen leaves and are active during the day. This species has been observed feeding on small colonial ascidians (Newman & Cannon 1996). Hughes et al. (2005) demonstrated that P. baibaiye was highly sensitive to environmental copper and suggested that this species could be used as an indicator of ecotoxicity.
